We know that social development begins in the earliest years. That’s why we’re excited to offer PEERS® for Preschoolers, an evidence-based social skills program from UCLA, specifically designed for young children aged 4-6.
This unique program focuses on teaching your child the fundamental building blocks of friendship and social interaction in a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate way. We understand that making and keeping friends can sometimes be challenging for young children, and PEERS® for Preschoolers provides the tools they need to navigate their social world successfully.
A cornerstone of this program is active parent involvement. As a caregiver, you’ll learn effective strategies to coach and support your child in real-life social situations. Through a combination of engaging lessons, interactive activities like puppet shows, and guided practice, your child will learn essential skills such as:
- Greeting and meeting new friends
- Sharing and taking turns during play
- Understanding and managing emotions
- Asking friends to play and joining games
- Being a good sport
By empowering both children and their parents, PEERS® for Preschoolers helps to lay a strong foundation for social confidence and meaningful connections, setting your child on a path toward a brighter, more connected future.
Spring and Fall sessions are 1x per week for 90 minutes for 16 weeks.
